This is an article about how a company called PML (originally Printed Motors Limited) has done a hybrid mod to a standard BMW Mini One automobile, as a proof of concept.
The process of modding the car into a hybrid would normally offer improvements in fuel economy and pollution controls, but this particular mod also greatly increases the power and potential performance of the car over its original gasoline-only design.
The interesting thing about this article is that the apparent goal of PML (in conjunction with a company called Synergy Innovations) is to further develop this modification method to be able to apply it as a hybrid conversion for many more standard car models.
The Mini Hybrid is one of two car designs they have been trying to modify. The other car model undergoing conversion, and the cost of the conversion process itself was not given in the article.
